How much waste should I add to material orders?
It depends on the material and layout: roughly 5–10% for concrete, flooring and decking on straight layouts, and 10–15% or more for roofing, diagonal patterns and complex shapes. Each calculator lets you set it.
Do these calculators check building code?
No. They estimate quantities. Structural sizes, spans, footing depths and fastening are set by your adopted code and plans.
